WELCOME TO THE FEBRUARY NEWS

Welcome friends and fans of Gyroscope, to the February news update. It has been some time, and we have missed you. The four Gyros have been enjoying a nice long Perth summer, but we here at HQ are here to update you on all things Gyro...

First up is the most excellent news that the band have announced some SHOWS! Yes, live performances, and the first since Gyroscope's rowdy 2011 Christmas show in Perth that rounded out the killer Choose Your Own Adventure Tour (on which YOU fantastic folks chose the setlist).

First up, the impressive Gyro live show will be taken out at Perth's Gloucester Park on Friday March 02. The boys will help bring in the grand final of the Inter Dominion harness racing season, be sure to dive in and pick up tickets here.

Then the Gyro lads are east coast bound for a very exciting Sydney show that we're pleased to announce is FREE. Correct, it will cost NO money to see Gyroscope play live. It will all go down on Thursday March 15 the Star City Casino's Rock Lily Bar. Supports come in the form of Grey Ghost and DJ Matik. But don't take our word for it, check out all the details here.

Now, also good news is that there are some spanking new merch items available right now on the Gyroscope Official Merch Store. Alright folks, as you are all aware voting has now officially ceased for Gyroscope's Choose Your Own Adventure Tour! The votes are in and with out further delay here is the much anticipated setlist chosen by YOU! The tour heads east next week, so this is particularly exciting.

Setlist announced for this week’s WA shows

GYROSCOPE have set the wheels in motion for what looks set to be one of their most exciting touring adventures ever. The great idea behind the now looming CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE TOUR is that Gyroscope’s much-loved fans dictate the songs performed live via a public vote. Now, the setlist for this weeks WA dates has been announced along a highly demanded hometown Perth show.

GYROSCOPEfans are equal parts dedicated and zealous in their hometown Perth, so it is with great excitement that the band announce the final stop on the Choose Your Own Adventure Tour will be an intimate one at the Rosemount Hotel. Fans can ring in the silly season with the Gyros on Friday December 02. There will be the special fan-chosen setlist and the local stalwarts no doubt be at their very best after a 5 month break throughout the middle of the year and a triumphant return to the stage.

Joining Gyros on this special show is a host of local Perth talent in ARTS MARTIAL and I, SAID THE SPARROW. Both acts have been making waves both in WA and beyond this year, and we hear their live shows take a leaf out of Gyroscope’s own balls out, thrill a minute rock show. The first slice of Arts Martial’s debut album (single Running) has been garnering triple j love, while I, Said the Sparrow have been venturing outside of WA this year, sharing stages with great acts like Trial Kennedy, Wolves and The Mission in Motion. A nice solid bill to give Perth fans a most memorable set of performances, start to finish.

While the setlist for this month’s WA dates have been announced (see list below) fans eager to ensure their favourite fresh or vintage Gyroscope tracks get a live airing can still vote for all east coast dates and the Perth show at Gyroscope’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/gyroscopemusic) Voting closes early November, so get your Gyroscope records out, re-learn the words and get voting here.
