BRAND NEW SINGLE 'BABY I'M GETTIN' BETTER'

COHESION TOUR JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

Alrighty, the second single from Gyroscope's mighty Cohesion album is coming your way, and it's Baby, I'm Gettin' Better. Taken from the #3 ARIA debuting record Cohesion, Baby I'm Gettin' Better is one of the most uplifting and energising (not to mention downright fun!) tracks from the album. We're sure you already know that already. What you probably don't know is that the song began as something of a country ditty before the band and Gil Norton (producer extraordinaire) crafted it into the lovable pop rock track it is today.

Baby I'm Gettin' Better - hits iTunes Friday June 4th

Now, no doubt Baby (as we like to call it around here) will be getting it's stellar live debut at one of the dates on the ever approaching and massively exciting Cohesion Tour. These tickets are truly beginning to heat up as the dates draw near. With Melbourne darlings The Vasco Era & long time Sydney buddies After the Fall in tow we can see why! Tickets are on sale right now, so be sure to hit them up right here before it's too late.

Of course what would make a new single even more exciting than a video? Yep - trusty Myspace are premiering the eye popping new video for Baby I'm Gettin' Better as we speak. Check out the guys running all over Sydney town in mind boggling live stop action by clicking the link below.

BABY I'M GETTIN' BETTER VIDEO

Well, that's enough excitement for this mailer. We're looking forward immensely to the Cohesion Tour finally kicking off, only two weeks to go now!

Gyroscope May News

Welcome to the Gyroscope May News.

Well, things have certainly been stepped up a notch in Gyroscope land during the past month. We here at Gyroscope HQ are super excited by everything that has gone down and is set to go down. All things Gyroscope are now moving forward at a thrilling pace. So here goes...

Gyroscope's fourth album Cohesion has now finally been released far and wide. To celebrate it's release (you might have got wind) the band will be hitting the road on their huge Cohesion Tour. Taking in some very beautiful venues this June, Gyroscope will be taking along Melbourne upstarts The Vasco Era in addition to Sydney stalwarts After the Fall. In a special treat for home-state audiences, local heroes Break Even will take over support duties for WA. The band are ready to bring their famous killer live show to audiences from Bunbury to Canberra. We hear they will be pulling out tracks from Cohesion for the first time alongside well-worn crowd favourites. Tickets are on sale now! All dates are below for your excitement, and tickets can be scooped up via Ticketek: www.ticketek.com.au - 132 849.

Now that Cohesion is stocked up in stores all over the country we trust that you are enjoying it as much as we are! The great news is that Cohesion debuted at a huge #3 on the ARIA charts! It's second week out it held fast at a fairly awesome #10.

April 9th also saw the band play a special acoustic in-store at 78 Record's in Perth. which everybody was very happy with. We have been sent some great photos by fans, and it seems like a good time was had by all. Fasterlouder were kind enough to send along a snapper to capture all the action for those who couldn't be there. All the photos can be found here.

Not only can you now score Cohesion on CD or via iTunes, you can have it in vinyl format - and trust us, it looks beautiful! If you don't believe us, check it out here.

Vinyl not your thing? Perhaps television is...Gyroscope will be appearing on this weeks' episode of the newly returned Hey Hey It's Saturday! The band will be joining the show to play the first single from Cohesion Some of the Places I Know. Keep your eyes on the Hey Hey website later on this week as the band will also be playing a second track just for the live audience. Hey Hey It's Saturday goes live to air this Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 9.

Way back in March, as we are sure you all know Gyroscope rocked Alice Springs on the very massive Triple J One Night Stand. Check out this backstage video of the guys that we dug up on the Triple J website over here.

It was announced a couple of weeks back that the second single to be lifted from Cohesion will be Baby, I'm Gettin' Better The lifting rock track should be hitting your radios real soon, so keep your ears out for it. Even better, filming of the video has wrapped up and we should have it ready for you in the next week or two. If you have yet to feast your eyes upon the stunning video for Some of the Places I Know - have a look at the Gyroscope Youtube! www.youtube.com/gyroscope

For now, if you're really diggin' the sounds of Some of the Places I Know, then vote for it on the Hot 30! Here is a whole swag of links to vote for it wherever you might be in Australia.

An important message from Gyroscope

It has just come to our attention that Warner Music are releasing a ‘Best of Gyroscope’ album. We only found out about this release after being notified by our fans on Facebook.

The song selection, artwork and everything about this release has been done without consultation with the band.

Gyroscope are a band who have always put our fans first. In our opinion, the release of this album without consultation with the band, and without including any material from our new album ‘Cohesion’, does not represent good value for our fans.

GYROSCOPE - 'COHESION' TOUR

‘COHESION’ NATIONAL TOUR - JUNE 2010

COHESION: - noun 1. The act or state of cohering, uniting, or sticking together.

Rarely has an album title ever rung as true as this most recent offering from Perth rock stalwarts Gyroscope. Gyroscope's status as one of Australia's premiere rock acts has now been solidified, as Cohesion enjoys a huge #3 debut on the ARIA charts! With fourth album Cohesion Gyroscope finally translate the famed rawness of their live show into a recorded, tangible tour de force.

Having packed rooms on their whirlwind and very noisy Some of the Places I Know tour throughout March, Gyroscope is now preparing to take things up a notch, on June’s Cohesion Tour! To celebrate the release of this rock’n’roll opus, Gyroscope will be shaking up some of the largest and most beautiful venues they have ever been fortunate enough to tread the boards in.

In true Gyroscope form, true Gyroscope fanatics can get in on the action before everybody else. All you need to do is head to www.gyroscope.com.au and sign up to the Gyroscope mailing list before 5.00pm Wednesday April 21st to take part in a special ticket pre-sale. You'll be emailed the secret code to take part in the Cohesion tour pre-sale. sure to jump in quick smart for tickets, these dates will see Gyroscope performing not only their tried and true crowd pleasing favourites, but also a hefty helping of selections from Cohesion, a few of them for the very first time!

Joining Gyroscope on this noisy jaunt around the country will be Melbourne's The Vasco Era and Sydney's After the Fall. With a reputation for tireless live shows, The Vasco Era are riding along on the recent release of their brand new album Lucille and ready to shake some stages. The After the Fall lads have hit the trails with Gyroscope several times in the past, and are sure to be a fantastic, rounding out this huge bill. Meanwhile, WA dates will see local trouble-makers Break Even step up to the plate on support duties.

The force of Gyroscope live is truly something to be reckoned with; there are few that would dispute this. Drum Media but recently remarked in raptures “this band plays a world class rock show that is only getting better with age.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
